Weld County, in an effort to connect more closely with its residents, has now expanded its digital presence to include Instagram. Following the end of daylight saving time, which saw people across the county setting their clocks an hour back, the county government leaped forward in its communication approach. Announced by the Weld County, the Instagram account seeks to offer a behind-the-scenes look at county operations, staff, and announcements, effectively to broaden their reach.
The Weld County Board of Commissioners approved the county government's proposal to strategically begin to use Instagram. This move is aimed at crafting a modern way to keep residents informed and engaged. Even though Facebook is still the most viewed channel among the existing platforms, which include Facebook, X, LinkedIn, and YouTube, Instagram is set to inject a new vibrancy into the way information is shared.
“By launching our Instagram account, we’re excited to create a space where we can engage with our community in a more visual and engaging way,” Commissioner Chair Kevin Ross emphasized, as per Weld County, highlighting the county's ambition to target different demographics and keep them abreast of government activities.
