On a somber Saturday morning in West Baltimore, the Baltimore Police Department took on a grim task. A kitten, horribly dismembered, was found in a home on the 1700 block of North Monroe Street. The details were sparse but clear: the animal had been cut into pieces. In a statement obtained by FOX Baltimore, a spokesperson for the Baltimore Police Department confirmed the brutal details of the incident.
Dismayed by the cruelty on display, the police were called to the scene around 10 a.m. after animal control officers came upon the gruesome scene, which compelled them to request assistance, as detailed by WMAR2-News. Though details were confirmed, the investigation has yet to yield any suspects or arrests.
The investigation remains active, with authorities following up on all potential leads to find those responsible.
