The Hawai‘i Police Department will hold a series of Coffee With a Cop events across West Hawai‘i this November, giving residents a chance to meet local officers in a casual setting. Six gatherings will take place at community coffee shops from Mauna Lani to Kealakekua, promoting open dialogue on personal and public concerns, according to the Hawaiʻi Police Department.
The events are designed without a set agenda to encourage conversation and relationship-building between police and the community. Discussion topics may include personal stories or neighborhood issues, reflecting the program’s flexible approach, as reported by the Hawaiʻi Police Department.
