The Franklin County Sheriff's Office recently carried out a significant crackdown on suspected drug trafficking and illegal gambling operations, resulting in the arrest of a man identified as Asaad Musa from Westerville, Ohio. The Specialized Tactics & Investigative Narcotics Group (STING), along with multiple law enforcement agencies, executed two coordinated search warrants on Monday, November 17, according to a post on the Franklin County Sheriff's Office Facebook page. The Delaware County Tactical Unit supported the STING detectives in searching Musa's residence, where they uncovered various items indicative of illicit activities.
At Musa's home in the 7000th block of Wallpepper Court, law enforcement retrieved documents, cash, and electronic ledgers that pointed to significant cryptocurrency assets. Yet, no specific details regarding the quantity of currency or the exact nature of the documents have been revealed. Concurrently, a second search warrant led the Franklin County Sheriff's Office SWAT to an alleged illegitimate gambling establishment co-owned by Musa, located in the 1400 block of Morse Road. There they collected evidence, including records, U.S. currency, and multiple electronic gaming devices.
