In a gesture to honor those who've served, Whataburger has announced a special treat for veterans and active-duty military personnel this Veterans Day. According to CBS Austin, beginning November 11th, qualifying individuals will be eligible to receive a free Taquito every Tuesday during breakfast hours at any Whataburger location until December 30th.
To claim their complimentary breakfast item, service members must present a valid military or veterans ID, or another form of proof of service. It's worth noting that this offer is available for in-restaurant orders exclusively and, to steadily avoid confusion, is limited to one per guest per visit.
The Taquito, a staple of Whataburger's breakfast menu, is served wrapped in a soft flour tortilla with scrambled eggs and a choice of sausage, bacon, or potato. As an additional token of gratitude, KATV reports that Whataburger is also offering a complimentary 16-ounce Hot or Iced Coffee to service members and veterans on any day, during any visit to the dining room.
