In a show of unity and exemplary public service, the White Settlement Police Department has earned a laudable recognition, according to a recent announcement on social media. As families were prepping for Thanksgiving meals, the department celebrated a significant achievement by placing 6th in Texas and soaring to 18th in the nation for towns with a population between 15,000 and 50,000 residents, in the National Night Out Awards Program for 2025.
The accolade, a clear testament to community and police relations, was proudly shared on the White Settlement Police Department's Facebook page. Chief Cook did not shy away from crediting the local community, whose steadfast support has been a cornerstone of their success, "This award belongs to our community and the incredible level of support that our residents provide to our public safety team," he said. Acknowledgment was also directed at Corporal Laura Gonzalez, whose leadership in organizing the National Night Out activities was pivotal for their high ranking in the National Association of Town Watch Awards Recognition Program this year.
