A Wilkinsburg man has been charged with homicide after a woman was found deceased inside a vehicle in Westmoreland County. According to a WPXI report, police were alerted to a potential homicide yesterday, which led to the discovery of 66-year-old Jacqueline Pryber's body, concealed with blankets and a duffel bag, in the 2500 block of Turkey Ridge Road the following day.
Following the grim find, detectives from the Westmoreland County District Attorney's Office enlisted support from the Allegheny County Police Department. Further investigation indicated the homicide took place in Allegheny County. Shawn Higgins, age 62, allegedly inflicted multiple strikes upon Pryber inside his vehicle located on the 9000 block of Saltsburg Road in Plum Borough, which police believe caused her death.
As a result of their findings, Higgins was apprehended and is now facing criminal homicide charges, detailed by CBS News, stating he is currently detained at the Allegheny County Jail.
