In the early hours of November 2, a shooting outside a club on Bladensburg Road in Northeast D.C. left five individuals wounded, including three women and two men. The victims, all found conscious and breathing by responding officers at around 1:49 a.m., were transported to local hospitals and treated for non-life-threatening injuries, the Metropolitan Police Department reported.

The investigation led to the December 2 arrest of 19-year-old Langston Wedge of Upper Marlboro, Maryland. He was first taken into custody on unrelated charges during a search warrant operation, then linked to the Bladensburg Road shooting. Wedge is charged with two counts of Aggravated Assault While Armed and two counts of Possession of a Firearm During a Crime of Violence or Dangerous Offense, according to the MPD.

After his extradition to D.C. on December 9, Wedge was served with his new charges under a D.C. Superior Court arrest warrant. The MPD thanked the Prince George’s County Police Department for assisting in locating and arresting him, according to the agency’s press release.
