A recent altercation in Southeast Washington, D.C., has led to the apprehension of a 19-year-old man accused of hitting a victim with his vehicle post-conflict. The incident, which took place in broad daylight last Friday, escalated from a heated exchange to an assault involving a car and pepper spray.

According to a statement by the Metropolitan Police Department, the confrontation occurred around 12:45 p.m. on the 2200 block of Minnesota Avenue, Southeast. Following the argument, the suspect, later identified as Jahmari Wormley, reportedly employed pepper spray and proceeded to strike the victim with his car before fleeing. The injured party was later taken to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

In the days following the assault, officers from the Sixth District were dispatched to the 2500 block of Palmer Place, Southeast on Monday in response to a call reporting suspicious activities. Their investigation led to the location of both Wormley and the vehicle purportedly used in the earlier crime. Wormley now faces charges of Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Car).
