Houston police are currently investigating a fatal vehicle collision that took the life of a 24-year-old male yesterday evening on Woodway Drive. City of Houston News reported the crash happened at approximately 9:10 p.m. in the 6000 block of said street.

According to officers from the HPD Vehicular Crimes Division, "The operator of a black Yamaha MTO motorcycle was traveling eastbound at a high rate of speed near the above address when he lost control and struck a tree in the median." Following the impact, the motorcycle ended up in the westbound lanes.
There were no other vehicles or individuals found to be involved in the incident, shedding grim light on the solitary nature of road catastrophes. The Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene, where they pronounced the male deceased.
