
A tragic incident took place on Reams Road near Legado Drive in Orange County, as a 6-year-old boy was struck by a vehicle, leaving him in critical condition. According to WFTV, the Florida Highway Patrol reported that the collision occurred when a 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe, driving south on Reams Road, encountered the child on the roadway.
The incident happened just after 6 p.m. yesterday, and investigators are still piecing together the events that led to this devastating accident. As per information provided by WESH, the boy was walking in an undetermined direction when he ended up in the direct path of the Hyundai. The 21-year-old female driver of the Santa Fe was reportedly unable to avoid the collision, resulting in the front of the SUV striking the young pedestrian.
The driver of the vehicle involved was not injured in the mishap and remained at the scene following the crash, cooperating with the ongoing investigation by the Florida Highway Patrol. The injured child was promptly transported to Arnold Palmer Hospital to receive urgent medical attention for his critical injuries.
