Updated reporting from KTNV says LVMPD investigators determined the motorcycle had been traveling eastbound on Blue Diamond Road and “failed to negotiate the left turn” before hitting a U-Haul truck in the left-turn lanes. KTNV reported the rider was a 65-year-old man who landed under the U-Haul and was pronounced dead at the scene. The U-Haul driver stayed at the scene, was not suspected of impairment, and LVMPD’s Collision Investigation Section is continuing to investigate.
