
Early Friday morning last week, a two-alarm fire broke out at Brentwood Chase apartments in Gastonia. Gastonia Fire Department officials confirmed the fire started at the rear of one of the buildings. No injuries were reported. QC News stated the Gastonia Fire Marshal’s Office classified the fire as accidental.
Emergency responders arrived around 4 a.m., encountering heavy smoke and visible flames. The fire was quickly extinguished, and damage assessments began. WCNC reported that the American Red Cross was called to assist displaced residents.
WSOC-TV noted that eight of the apartment units were displaced.
