An Amazon delivery driver, identified as Michael Coleman, was arrested in Lakewood, Colorado, after allegedly attacking employees at Emerald Dental, with one person left seriously injured. According to 9NEWS, the incident occurred just before 3:10 p.m. on Monday when Coleman attempted to sexually assault one employee and attacked others during a package delivery.

Held down by people until police arrived, Coleman, a 31-year-old Denver resident, is facing multiple charges, including second-degree assault and unlawful sexual contact. Caught in the middle of the day, the attack is said to appear random. DrBicuspid.com reports that employees and patients at Emerald Dental intervened during the assault, preventing further harm before police intervention.

An Amazon spokesperson deemed the allegations "scary" and noted the company's full cooperation with law enforcement during the investigation. Following the event, it has been confirmed by Amazon that Coleman, working for a third-party contractor, is no longer delivering packages to Amazon customers. All defendants, including Coleman, are presumed innocent until proven guilty in the legal system, as is standard with criminal allegations.

Echoing the concern, Stephanie Paswaters, the dentist and owner of Emerald Dental, told CBS News Colorado about the harrowing experience. "I heard screaming. And then I heard, 'Help.'" Paswaters, seeing her staff member attacked by Coleman and patients, was amongst those who stepped in to subdue Coleman. "How could they let this happen? Did they do a background check?" Paswaters expressed, as per CBS News Colorado, is now skeptical of the security measures in place for service providers like Amazon's delivery partners.
