According to the Kaua‘i Police Department, detectives pulled surveillance images from the Anchor Cove parking lot and shared a series of stills along with a short video clip, asking the public to help identify the people captured on camera. The department’s post also includes an OCR transcript that breaks down clothing details for each figure in the images. KPD said the stills and video are part of an active assault investigation.

When And Where It Happened

Hawaii News Now reported the incident happened on Friday, Nov. 21 at about 1:45 a.m. in the Anchor Cove Shopping Center parking lot in Līhu‘e, and that a victim was taken to Wilcox Medical Center with injuries consistent with an assault. The outlet also published police descriptions for several of the people of interest: one person in a dark shirt, beige pants and a black hat with a triangular logo; one in a light-colored shirt, gray shorts and slide-on shoes; and one wearing a dark shirt and shorts with a beige hat.

Who Police Are Looking For

Images shared by the Kaua‘i Police Department also show three additional people of interest: a shirtless man with a fluorescent-green long-sleeve shirt tied around his waist and a dark hat; another shirtless man in gray pants and shoes; and a sixth person dressed in dark clothing with a hat. Investigators say those stills, along with the clothing descriptions, are key to confirming the timeline and identifying witnesses or any additional video that might be out there.
