An Annapolis man has been arrested on charges related to the sexual solicitation of a minor, as part of a broader investigation into an online child sex abuse material purchasing operation. According to WMAR-2 News, 38-year-old Shawn Livingston was taken into custody yesterday and will face a court hearing this morning for a bail review.

Investigations initiated back in April by the Maryland State Police Computer Crimes Unit and the Maryland Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force pinpointed Livingston as a suspect. As reported by Eye On Annapolis, evidence was developed that showed the suspect's involvement in sexually soliciting a minor online, leading to charges including sexual solicitation of a minor and knowingly permitting sexual solicitation of a minor.

Law enforcement agencies, consisting of troopers from the Maryland State Police Child Exploitation Unit and officers from the Anne Arundel County Police Department, conducted a search warrant at Livingston's residence before his arrest. He is currently being held without bond at the Anne Arundel County Detention Center.
