Another Broken Egg Cafe has quietly slid into the Uptown lineup on Lemmon Avenue this week, bringing a full breakfast-and-brunch spread and a proper bar to the Oak Lawn neighborhood. The national brand is taking over a longtime Uptown space on a restaurant-heavy stretch of Lemmon, and staff are already booking reservations and signing up weekend waitlist hopefuls.
According to Another Broken Egg Cafe, the new Uptown spot sits at 3223 Lemmon Ave and operates with morning-to-afternoon hours that include a full-service bar. The location page also notes that the Dallas cafe is owned and run by Legend Daytime Hospitality Inc., the local restaurant group behind the brand’s other DFW locations.
As reported by CultureMap Dallas, the Lemmon Avenue restaurant has moved into the former Howard Wang’s Uptown Grill space and joins a sibling set of area cafes. “We’re thrilled to deepen our roots in Dallas with a new cafe in the Oak Lawn neighborhood,” Jorge Salvat, the chain’s president and CEO, said in a statement to CultureMap Dallas.

The menu leans Southern, with staples like Shrimp ’N Grits, Chicken & Waffles and a Lobster & Brie Omelet, alongside rotating seasonal dishes and brunch cocktails. Muhammad Hanif, who leads the group, said the aim is to create a welcoming daytime hangout where guests can slow down and enjoy a meal, according to the brand’s press materials. For neighborhood regulars, the new cafe adds one more weekend brunch contender to an already crowded Uptown scene.
