The Town of Apex is taking steps to address affordable housing by bringing together key groups. According to the town's announcement, the Community Development & Neighborhood Connections (CDNC) Housing Division announced a Developer Roundtable called “Partnering to Build Homes for All in Apex.” The meeting will take place on January 27, 2026, and will include homebuilders, affordable housing developers, and nonprofit partners to discuss ways to increase the number of affordable homes in the community.

The roundtable will cover topics such as the challenges developers face, the zoning and approval process, and opportunities for public-private partnerships. Marla Newman, Director of Community Development & Neighborhood Connections, stated that one goal of the event is to make the town’s development processes more predictable and efficient.

Tiana Joyner, Housing Programs Manager, will lead the discussion at the Town of Apex’s roundtable. Joyner said the event will provide a space for open discussion, collaboration, and partnership-building to help increase the availability of homes in Apex.

Attendees can complete a pre-event survey to help shape the agenda and ensure the discussion covers key issues. Feedback from the survey may inform future plans and development tools to support Apex’s “Homes for All” goals, as per the Town of Apex. The roundtable will take place from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Apex Senior Center.

Registration for the roundtable is open, and participants are encouraged to RSVP by December 20.
