Arlington County Government offices and services will operate on modified schedules for the New Year’s Day holiday on January 1, 2026. Residents are encouraged to check the full holiday schedule for specific service changes, according to the Arlington County.
There will be no recycling, trash, or organics curbside collection on Thursday, January 1. Thursday routes will be collected on Friday, January 2, and Friday routes will move to Saturday, January 3, including special collections like brush, metal, and e-waste, as reported by the Arlington County.
The Household Hazardous Materials and Electronics Collection Recycling Center will be closed on New Year’s Day. The Earth Products Recycling Yard will also be closed.
