
On Christmas Day, the Baker County Detention Center distributed fruit and snack bags to all inmates, with contributions from the Elevate Life Church, and no taxpayer funds were used. Photos of inmates with their treats were shared, with permission from those pictured, as reported by the Baker County Sheriff's Office.
The initiative shows cooperation between community organizations and the detention center. It provided a small gesture of care and acknowledgment of human dignity for inmates during the holiday season, as stated by the Baker County Sheriff's Office.
