Baltimore authorities have arrested in a case that has lingered since April. Today, the Baltimore Police Department (BPD) disclosed the apprehension of Dionte White, 33, in relation to a shooting that took place earlier this year. According to details provided by Fox Baltimore, White is facing charges including attempted second-degree murder after allegedly shooting a 32-year-old man.
The incident in question occurred on April 27, when BPD officers were called to the scene on the 1500 block of South Hanover Street, following reports of a shooting around 2:09 a.m. The victim, who sustained a non-life-threatening gunshot wound, was swiftly taken to a local hospital. The injury was described as a graze wound by medical personnel, indicating that the bullet did not inflict a penetrating injury, and this was confirmed by Baltimore Witness.
For months following the incident, detectives from the Southern District pored over the case details. Then, on Nov. 14, White was finally apprehended by Warrant Apprehension detectives and subsequently brought to the Central Booking & Intake Facility. The arrest came as a culmination of the investigative efforts that spanned several months.
The case is ongoing, and additional details are expected to be released by authorities as the legal process unfolds.
