An 18-year-old from Baltimore County has been taken into custody on charges connected to a recent shooting in the city. Delvon Bryant was apprehended following a disturbance earlier this week in the northwest area of Baltimore. According to Baltimore Witness, the incident occurred on Tuesday, around 7:45 p.m. on the 3000 block of Ridgewood Ave., where officers discovered a young man of equal age suffering from a gunshot wound to the hand.

Local law enforcement responded swiftly to the scene, and while initially taking a person of interest into custody, it was shortly thereafter that officers had to actively engage in a foot pursuit to swiftly arrest Bryant in connection to the shooting. He is now facing serious allegations, among them attempted first and second degree murder, as well as assault and multiple violations associated with the possession and use of a handgun, FOX Baltimore reported.

The victim of the shooting was promptly transported to a nearby hospital to receive treatment for his injuries. The authorities have not released any additional information about the victim's condition.
