The streets of Bartonville were brighter with holiday spirit as Denton County Emergency Services District No. 1 & 2 hosted their festive Fire Truck Santa event. The tradition, a staple of the season, saw Old Saint Nick riding atop a gleaming fire engine, visiting neighborhoods and spreading cheer among residents on December 15th.
According to a social media post from the Denton County Emergency Services District No. 1 & 2, the event was scheduled from 5:30 to 7:30 pm, inviting residents to track Santa's route through a dedicated tracker. In an effort to help Santa's crew spot the awaiting crowds, they recommended "waving flashlights and glow sticks so that we can see your group waiting for Santa."
The post also suggested residents coordinate with their street to host a block party while you wait for Santa, encouraging community gatherings with hot cocoa, caroling, and outdoor movies. Notably, these festive gatherings were framed not merely as waiting periods but as integral parts of the holiday experiences that the fire department facilitated with their rolling yuletide convoy.
