Early Friday morning at around 4 a.m., Baytown police responded to a family disturbance at an apartment complex on Garth Road near Rollingbrook Drive. "Their two children were also found inside the apartment and were safely removed by officers and provided assistance," the Baytown Police Department stated, according to KHOU.
Upon arrival, officers encountered a man with a knife who advanced toward them and did not comply with commands, leading to the man being fatally shot, as reported by FOX 26 Houston. A subsequent search of the apartment revealed a deceased woman, later identified as the mother of the suspect’s two children, who were unharmed.
A woman died during an incident in Baytown, and no officers were injured. Two children were present, and their care has not been determined. The Baytown Police Department is investigating and will provide updates.
