A Christmas Day blaze in Beaver County garnered swift response from emergency crews as a fire, which started in a garage, ominously spread to a nearby home. The incident occurred on the 900 block of Soap Run Road in Franklin Township, and though the flames were doused, the scare served as a sharp reminder of holiday hazards.
According to WPXI, fire crews were summoned at approximately 1:12 p.m. yesterday. Thankfully, no injuries were reported, per medics on the scene. Bystanders attempting a holiday feast described the fire as an innocent bid to deep-fry a turkey, but it quickly grew out of control.
The exact cause of the garage fire is currently under investigation, despite earlier witness accounts, according to WTAE. Officials have not yet released additional details regarding the extent of the damage.
