24-year-old William Credle of the Bronx has been indicted on charges including third-degree rape, sexual abuse, and related offenses. The charges stem from allegations that he lured a 15-year-old girl from New Jersey, whom he met on a dating app, to his apartment under the pretense of engaging in sexual activity. Bronx District Attorney Darcel D. Clark provided details of the alleged incident.
According to the Bronx District Attorney’s office, the alleged incident occurred on November 3. Credle is accused of arranging transportation for the underage victim, who arrived near midnight. The victim was reportedly given marijuana and an alcoholic drink that caused illness and was then subjected to multiple assaults over several hours. After the victim’s mother discovered messages between Credle and her daughter, she was able to track the girl’s location and contact authorities, leading NYPD officers to the scene where Credle was arrested and the victim received assistance.
Credle has been arraigned on multiple charges, including five counts of third-degree rape, three counts of sexual misconduct, second-degree unlawful imprisonment, and endangering the welfare of a child, as stated by District Attorney Darcel D. Clark. His next court appearance is scheduled for February 10, 2026, with bail set at $50,000 cash or $200,000 bond.
The case is being handled by Assistant District Attorney Dana Snay of the Child Abuse/Sex Crimes Bureau, under the supervision of senior officials within the division. Authorities are working closely with the NYPD’s Bronx Special Victims Squad, including Officer Crystal Williams, whose involvement contributed to the investigation and arrest.
The case involved alleged predatory behavior occurring through online platforms. Authorities reported that they worked with law enforcement to investigate the incident and assist the victim, and they acknowledged the contributions of those who helped in the investigation.
