The Calaveras County Sheriff's Office is preparing for changes in its communication leadership, as Lieutenant Greg Stark, the longtime Public Information Officer, steps down. Stark has been recognized for his dedication in managing public and media relations, as reported by the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office.

According to the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office on their Facebook page, Lieutenant Greg Stark is retiring. "The Sheriff’s Office would like to thank Lieutenant Greg Stark for his dedication to the department and his service as Public Information Officer," and said that "His commitment and professionalism are appreciated and have made a positive impact on the department and the community." Sergeant Waite will take over his duties, and the department said this change will not affect the community’s access to information about law enforcement activities.
