The 33rd Annual Valley Springs Christmas Parade, hosted by the Valley Springs Area Business Association, featured law enforcement participation with the Marine Patrol Division and Rescue Vehicle to ensure safety. Sheriff Whiting served as a guest judge, bringing "extra holiday spirit" to the parade entries, as stated by the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office.
In collaboration with the Deputy Sheriff's Association of Calaveras County, the Sheriff's Office hosted a holiday event with Santa Claus, crafts, hot cocoa, and free Christmas trees for local families, according to the Calaveras County Sheriff's Office on their Facebook page. Sheriff Whiting said, "It was a wonderful weekend connecting with our community at these special events. Seeing the smiles on children's faces and sharing the holiday spirit with families across Calaveras County was truly heartwarming."
