
Charlotte-Mecklenburg police have identified a suspect in connection with the death of a 1-year-old child in Charlotte, North Carolina.
CMPD homicide detectives identified 26-year-old Brionce Parks as the suspect, according to a department statement. Parks was interviewed at the Law Enforcement Center and later arrested on charges of felony child abuse and exposing a child to a controlled substance.
Following his arrest, Parks was placed in the custody of the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office. Detectives continue investigating the circumstances surrounding the child’s death.
