The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD) Homicide Unit arrived at the scene in the 2700 block of Rozzelles Ferry Road after receiving a call about an assault with a deadly weapon, as reported by CMPD's Newsroom.
When officers got to the location, they found a victim with multiple gunshot wounds who was pronounced dead at the scene. The fatal incident reportedly happened just before 2:30 a.m., wherein Detective Grazier-Zerbarini has been designated as the lead investigator on the case.
