Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is currently investigating a fatal stabbing that occurred in the North Tryon Division. According to official CMPD reports, the incident took place on the 5100 block of Reagan Drive yesterday. Responding to an Assault with a Deadly Weapon call after 4:30 p.m., officers found one victim with a stab wound.
Despite the swift action of MEDIC, who promptly transported the victim to a local hospital, the individual succumbed to their injuries and was pronounced dead shortly thereafter. Still in the early stages, the investigation saw the CMPD Homicide Unit arriving at the scene alongside Crime Scene Search, tasked with collecting physical evidence that might shine a light on the circumstances leading to this tragedy.
