Chick-fil-A is about to make an early-morning entrance into far-east Fort Worth, with a new restaurant set to open next Wednesday at 1700 Eastchase Parkway near I-30. The location is expected to bring roughly 100 jobs to the neighborhood and a $25,000 donation to Feeding America, along with the chain’s usual opening-day fanfare. Doors are scheduled to open at 6 a.m., and local owner-operator Carmenza Moreno will be at the helm. In classic Chick-fil-A fashion, opening-day festivities will include the cow-costume promotion, where guests who show up in cow spots can score a free entrée or kid’s meal.
According to a press release from Chick-fil-A, the I-30 & Eastchase Pkwy restaurant will open with dine-in service, an outdoor playground, drive-thru and Mobile Thru. The company also says the new spot will participate in Chick-fil-A’s Shared Table program, and that the $25,000 Feeding America donation will be distributed to partner organizations in the greater Fort Worth area. “Chick-fil-A has played a major role in my life’s trajectory and has helped me become the leader I am today,” Moreno said in the release.
Operator Brings Local Experience
Moreno is no rookie to the Fort Worth chicken scene. She already operates Chick-fil-A North Collins Street and has been with the company since 1993, according to local coverage, giving her decades of experience in the market. CultureMap Fort Worth highlighted her background and noted that the Eastchase opening will make this her second location serving the community.
Roughly 100 Jobs Expected
The new restaurant is expected to generate about 100 positions across front-of-house and back-of-house roles, offering a modest hiring lift for the east-side neighborhood.
