Brickland Restaurant & Bar on Folsom Boulevard is staying dark until further notice after vandals hit the East Sacramento mainstay on Christmas Day, leaving an acrid, burned smell drifting around the block while staff and owners sized up the damage inside and out.
According to CBS Sacramento, the restaurant said in a social media post that the building was broken into and vandalized on Christmas Day. At first glance, the exterior looked mostly untouched, but nearby businesses told the outlet they were airing out their offices and had to cancel several appointments because of smoke.
