As the holiday shopping season ramps up, Citrus Heights PD is on high alert for retail theft. Earlier this week, three suspects stole merchandise from a Sunrise Boulevard store and fled.

According to the Citrus Heights PD, an officer spotted the suspects’ vehicle near Greenback Lane and Bremen Drive, despite its paper license plate. Officers recovered over $2,200 in stolen items and returned them to the store. The department credited quick reporting and proactive policing for the arrest.

Citrus Heights PD has stepped up efforts to protect shoppers during the holiday season. The suspects—32-year-old Tabitha Fischer, 39-year-old Davis Turner, and 53-year-old Jonathan Gilchrist—have prior theft convictions and were booked on burglary and conspiracy charges; one also faces a drug possession charge.
