Sheriff Michelle Cook emphasized the initiative as part of the office’s ongoing community engagement. The readings are designed to connect residents with law enforcement in a family-friendly setting, supporting interaction between deputies and local families during the holiday season.
The first session featured Deputy Jackson reading Llama Llama Holiday Drama at Discovery Oaks Elementary School. According to a social media post, the program is scheduled to continue every Sunday evening throughout this month, with different deputies participating each week.
