Virgin Hotels Las Vegas announced earlier this week that Cliff Atkinson, the company’s president, has stepped down from his role. The resort did not provide details about the reason for his departure but acknowledged Atkinson’s work and wished him well in his future plans, according to News 3 LV.
Atkinson, who has been president since 2023, is leaving his position. During his tenure, he managed a labor strike with the Culinary Union that was resolved earlier this year. Last year, Nevada gaming regulators licensed C&C 4455—a venture co-led by Atkinson and Virgin CFO Chad Konrad—to take over casino operations, as reported by YOGONet.
Lia Rispoli, currently the Chief Operating Officer, will also take on the role of president, replacing Atkinson. She has been with the resort since 2011 and has experience in Las Vegas hospitality and gaming, overseeing daily operations. Atkinson’s future role in casino operations or as CEO of C&C 4455, which recently took over management of the casino, has not been announced. Atkinson has previously held leadership positions at Fontainebleau, Luxor, and MGM Resorts International.
