
Cobb County Public Libraries will close early at 5 p.m. on December 31 and remain closed on January 1, 2026 for the New Year's Day holiday. According to Cobb County, regular library hours will resume on January 2, 2026.
Although the libraries will be physically closed, their digital resources remain available every day, including during the holiday closures. The library’s Research and Digital page provides access to eBooks, eAudiobooks, digital magazines, and various databases throughout the holiday period.
The library also shared its planned closures for the 2026 calendar year. While physical locations will close for traditional holidays, digital resources will remain accessible. Notable closures include Martin Luther King Jr. Day on January 19, 2026 Good Friday on April 3 and 5, 2026, as well as Memorial Day and Juneteenth. Specific dates and times for each closure are set to correspond with national observances.
