
The Collin County Criminal District Attorney's Office has made a new addition to their squad with the hiring of Investigator Michael Cross, a veteran in the field of law enforcement with a background that spans over two decades. An announcement by the Collin County Criminal District Attorney's Office called on the community to welcome Investigator Cross. It highlights his previous roles and vast experience, which include patrol, training, investigations, and specialized instruction. His previous tenure at the Richardson Police Department was marked by varied roles such as Academy Instructor and Police Training Officer.
In his new role, Cross, who started his law enforcement career as a Detention Officer for the City of Richardson from 1999 to 2005, will bring to bear his in-depth expertise in areas like field training, firearms, evidence collection, investigation strategies, and court preparation. The social media announcement emphasized his qualifications, noting the establishment expects his prowess to greatly benefit their operations, with the District Attorney's Office saying, "Inv. Cross brings professionalism, skill, and seasoned experience to our team. Welcome aboard—we’re fortunate to have him!"
Cross's academic foundation in Criminal Justice and Sociology obtained from Washburn University laid the groundwork for his expansive career, which began earnestly after his graduation in May 1999. The Collin County DA's office expressed enthusiasm for the infusion of professionalism and skill that Investigator Cross is anticipated to bring to the table, sentiments that were echoed in their social media welcome message.
