According to the Columbus Division of Police, at about 9:35 a.m., 30-year-old Zachery Simpson committed an armed robbery at a business located in the 700 block of E. North Broadway. The incident set off a vehicular pursuit as Simpson tried to escape law enforcement.
The pursuit came to a swift end when Simpson crashed the vehicle and was taken into custody. He has since been charged with aggravated robbery. The police also reported, "Mr. Simpson was also identified as the suspect in several other aggravated robberies that occurred this month," according to the Columbus Division of Police.
