Early this morning, a severe accident involving a motorcycle and an SUV led to critical injuries and gridlocked Interstate 4 near Florida’s Turnpike in Orange County. According to ClickOrlando, the collision occurred around 3 a.m. on the eastbound lanes of I-4 just south of the busy junction. The motorcyclist was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, significantly impacting the early morning commute.
The aftermath of the crash prompted the closure of multiple eastbound lanes, with only the left lane remaining open to traffic. As a result, FOX 35 Orlando reports that extensive backups stretched across the area.
Orlando police have yet to disclose further details surrounding the cause of the accident or the identities of those involved. Investigations into the incident are expected to be underway as officials work to determine what led to the tragic collision.
