
Two individuals lost their lives in a tragic shooting on El Estado Drive on Thursday, a grim event as the city confronts yet another wave of gun violence. According to a report by the Dallas Police Department, officers responded to the scene to find 24-year-old Arlina Sanders deceased and 27-year-old Darvilease Washington critically injured, ultimately succumbing to his wounds after being transported to a local hospital.
The unfolding investigation into the incident revealed a potential suspect and led to the discovery of a related vehicle registered in Mesquite, before detectives could move forward with an arrest warrant, they were informed of a subsequent shooting in Mesquite, where the suspect believed to be connected to the El Estado Drive shooting was found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, with the same car identified in the driveway of the 1000 block of Craig Drive.
