On Christmas morning, while many were unwrapping presents and sipping hot cocoa, Deputy Constable Enqvist with Constable Mark Herman’s Office was patrolling the roads to maintain safety. During the routine monitoring, Enqvist conducted a traffic stop on the Hardy Toll Road. The reason? A driver was seen tossing an item from the vehicle before attempting to hastily drive away, as mentioned in a social media post.
Despite initially trying to flee, the driver was eventually compelled to halt. After the stop, the individual was arrested for driving while intoxicated in the 19000 block of the Hardy Toll Road. This information comes directly from a post shared by Precinct 4's Facebook page, which frequently provides updates on community safety efforts and law enforcement incidents.
The constable’s office said it is increasing patrols during the holiday period to help ensure the safety of travelers. Officials emphasized that deputies remain actively on duty despite the holiday, focusing on traffic enforcement and public safety during a time when road conditions and driver behavior can be unpredictable.
In addition to providing updates on the arrest of the impaired driver, the precinct is encouraging residents to stay informed through its official communication channels. Officials are asking the public to follow @ConstablePct4 on Facebook and Instagram and to use the C4 NOW mobile app, which provides real-time updates on crime, arrests, safety alerts, traffic incidents, and road conditions.
