In a heartwarming break from his duty, Deputy Chance of the Douglas County Sheriff's Office found himself perched upon Santa's lap during a festive detour at the Larkspur Elementary School Holiday Bazaar. The moment, wrapped in Yuletide cheer, was shared in a social media post by the Sheriff's Office, where they confirmed that the "SRO Deputy Chance made the Nice List!"
While busy protecting our schools, Deputy Chance took a humorous and humanizing pause to engage with one of the holiday season's most beloved figures. Surrounded by the bustling Holiday Bazaar, Santa took the time to assure Deputy Chance that he was securely on the Nice List, as shared on the Douglas County Sheriff's Office Facebook page. It seems that even amidst the serious task of safeguarding our children, there's room for a light-hearted interaction with Mr. Claus himself.
Accompanying the post was an endearing photograph of the deputy and Santa Claus, showcasing a side of law enforcement often overshadowed by the gravity of their work. The local Sheriff's Office took the chance to express gratitude for Deputy Chance's efforts by adding, "Thanks, Deputy Chance, for all you do and for giving us all a good laugh!" as obtained by the Douglas County Sheriff's Office.
