A Douglas County man has been handed a 168-month federal prison sentence after pleading guilty to drug dealing and firearm offenses. Glenn Allen Gearhart, 51, accepted the charges related to distributing fentanyl and methamphetamine, as well as possessing guns as a felon, according to a U.S. Attorney's Office press release.

The conviction stems from an October 2024 raid by the Douglas Interagency Narcotics Team (DINT), which uncovered drugs, firearms, and evidence of Gearhart's drug trafficking operation at his residence. Court documents note that Gearhart attempted to evade capture, crashing his vehicle after fleeing deputies. On his person were over $5,000, fentanyl, and a round of ammunition, and his vehicle held a cache of weapons, including a stolen pistol and an AR-style rifle.

Gearhart was subsequently charged on June 13, 2025, and entered a guilty plea on August 5, 2025, to possession with intent to distribute significant quantities of fentanyl and methamphetamine, in addition to the firearm charge. The investigation was a collaborative effort between the DINT and the Drug Enforcement Administration, with Assistant U.S. Attorney Jeffrey Sweet prosecuting the case.
