Douglas County to Celebrate Grand Opening of New Waste Transfer Station on December 16

Douglas County is gearing up to unveil its latest environmental infrastructure, the new Waste Transfer Station, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony scheduled for December 16, as per a recent announcement. The event, set to take place from 2 PM to 3 PM, will officially mark the opening of the facility located at 1730 County Services Road, Douglasville, GA 30134. 

Officials have been planning the Waste Transfer Station for months, and the grand opening ceremony will give residents a chance to see firsthand the efforts Douglas County has made in improving waste management. Expected to serve as a pivotal point in the county's waste processing and disposal system, the station will act as a middleman, consolidating waste collection before being transported to landfills.
