The incident occurred around 2 a.m. near Westpark Drive, where the vehicle was stopped in a southbound lane. According to a statement obtained by Click2Houston, the collision pushed the disabled car a considerable distance along the freeway.
Houston police said they are investigating the circumstances leading up to the crash. At this time, no charges have been filed against the wrecker driver, who was reported to have been unharmed. As per FOX 26 Houston, Sgt. Michael Barrow said the wrecker driver is cooperating with the investigation. The name of the victim has not yet been released.
