Early yesterday morning, the Godley Fire Department and CareFlite were called to the scene of a single-vehicle rollover on FM2331, just north of Sky Rd. In a concise report shared by the City of Godley Fire Department's social media, it was detailed that the accident occurred around 6:30 a.m., where the driver, who luckily escaped injury, was trapped within the crumpled remnants of their vehicle.
Upon arriving at the crash site, the emergency response teams found that, despite the significant vehicle damage requiring extrication of the driver, the individual had managed to remain uninjured. Safely freeing and ultimately saving the driver, the firefighters and CareFlite personnel were thankfully unharmed during the rescue operation, which the City of Godley Fire Department described as "safe outcome for the driver and our first responders."
As traffic incidents like these continue to pepper our local news, with cars spreading themselves across asphalt in the forms of twisted metal, the community is often left to ponder the frailty of human safety amidst such powerful machines.
