
The City of Durham, NC Government shared its appreciation for the community effort that supported families during the holiday season. Their Facebook post highlighted the annual Toy & Gift Drive organized by the Office of Survivor Care, which provided gifts for children and teens ages 3 to 16.
The drive involved contributions from local partners and staff, demonstrating support for residents facing challenges during the holidays. The City specifically acknowledged the First Presbyterian Church, A Religious Coalition for a Nonviolent Durham, and the Durham District Attorney’s Office for their donations, which made the program possible.
Through the collective effort, the Toy & Gift Drive delivered gifts to numerous families, reinforcing the role of community initiatives in assisting those in need. The program provided resources for children and teenagers, ensuring that more households could access holiday support.
