Duval County Public Schools have released the commencement schedule for the 2026 academic year. According to Duval County Public Schools, graduation ceremonies will begin on May 15, 2026, with the Alden Road Exceptional Student Center hosting its event at 6 p.m. at its own facility. The schedule includes locations capable of accommodating large audiences, such as the University of North Florida Arena and the VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena, and is designed to meet the needs of graduating students and their families.
Some exceptional student centers, including Mt. Herman Exceptional Student Center, will hold their commencement on May 19, 2026, at 11 a.m. at their own facilities. Other schools, such as Andrew Jackson High School and Darnell Cookman School of the Medical Arts, will host their ceremonies at larger external venues, providing space for families and guests to attend.
Back-to-back commencements on May 27, 2026 through May 28, 2026 include Sandalwood High School and Englewood High School, holding their ceremonies at the VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena at 3 p.m. and 11 a.m., respectively. Duval County Public Schools stated, “This is an exciting time for our seniors and their families, and we encourage everyone to review the schedule to plan for this significant milestone event.”
The graduation schedule concludes on May 29, 2026, with Terry Parker High School holding its ceremony at 6 p.m. and The Bridge to Success Academy following at 7 p.m. at the Jacksonville Center for the Performing Arts.
