A single-vehicle incident caused a stir on Crane Canyon Road yesterday morning as California Highway Patrol officers from Santa Rosa raced to the scene. According to the CHP's social media update, the driver involved, found to be influenced by alcohol, didn't manage to keep their vehicle on the road just after 6:00 am.
In the wake of the incident, the driver was taken into custody on DUI charges. The CHP's post served as a sobering reminder that "Intoxicated drivers can be found on the road at all hours of the day."
It's an unfortunate truth delivered by the aftermath of such early morning disruptions, urging the public to "Stay alert, drive safe, and never drive under the influence," per CHP Santa Rosa.
